The vibrant colors of last fall provided the perfect backdrop for my photography session at this charming single family home in Kensington. Spanning 2,000 square feet, the residence offers a surprisingly spacious layout with five bedrooms and three bathrooms. While its exterior hints at traditional elegance, stepping inside reveals an abundance of character.

The journey begins just beyond the entry in the welcoming living room. A handsome brick fireplace immediately draws the eye, radiating a cozy warmth throughout the space. Illumination pours in through a generously sized picture window, ensuring the room is always bathed in soft, natural light.

Directly across the hall, the kitchen shines as a newly updated masterpiece. It features white cabinetry, pristine quartz countertops, and modern stainless steel appliances. A classic tile backsplash complements the signature multicolored stone wall, offering a unique visual anchor. Elegant gold fixtures introduce an undeniable touch of glamour.

The separate dining room is a master class in curated character. A refined chair rail detail subtly harkens back to early 20th century design trends. Meanwhile, gorgeous striped drapes offer a thoughtful nod to the area's rich Naval history. With bright yellow walls and a distinctive ceiling lamp, the room achieves a perfectly balanced and unforgettable atmosphere.

Ascending the staircase, you discover my favorite space: the serene primary bedroom suite. Rich hardwood floors infuse the room with lovely warmth. The light blue walls immediately provide a calming retreat, enhanced by accents of yellow and navy blue that lend a timeless, classic feel.

The home’s exterior is equally rich in appeal, boasting a truly stunning backyard garden. A thoughtfully designed stone patio provides ample space for outdoor furniture without dominating the yard's generous footprint. Vibrant flowers introduce the perfect pops of color, creating an idyllic setting to begin or peacefully end your day with friends and family.
