FAQ’S

How do I book a session?

There are a couple of different ways you can book a session.  The quickest way is to book online here.  Once you have booked online I will send you an email to confirm.  You may also email me, call, or text me.

How much notice do you need to book a session?

2-3 days is usually enough time for me to prepare for a session.  If you need a next day appointment, please call or text me for the fastest response.

What are your business hours? Do you work on weekends?

I am open Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.  If you need a weekend appointment please contact me via email or phone.  Weekend appointments are based on availability.

When is payment due?

Payment is due at the time you book the session.

How do I prepare for my session?

Once you have scheduled a session, I will email you a pdf with tips on how to prepare a house before the photography session.  You can also find the pdf here.  Please make sure the house is clean and pets are put in a safe place.  If the house is not ready, I will reschedule the session and a $50 rescheduling fee will be charged.

Does anyone need to be at the house during the photography session?

No. If you or the homeowners would like to be present that is okay, however, the session goes faster with less people present.  That is especially true for virtual tours where people and pets need to hide from the camera since it takes a series of 360 degree photos.  If there are special requests by you it is best for you to be present or communicate those requests before the session.  If the house is unoccupied and/or you and the homeowner cannot be present, please include the key code when you book the session.

How long will the session take?

It depends on the size of the house.  When you book the session, the length of time for each service will be listed for your convenience.

What happens if it rains the day of my session?

I will be able to photograph the interior of the house if it is raining.  If it is still raining when I am done photographing the interior, I will reschedule the exterior photos at no cost to you.  If you have ordered drone photos and/or videos, I will not be able to fly the drone in rainy weather or days when the wind is over 20 mph.  The drone photos would also be rescheduled at no cost to you.

Do you have your drone license? What do I need to know about flying a drone.

Yes, I do. A drone cannot be flown without a license. When you book a drone session, I will look up the address of the property to make sure it is not a no fly zone. If it is a no fly zone, I will refund you for the drone session. There could also be height restrictions for certain properties. If there is a height restriction, I will communicate that with you before the session.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your session, please do so no less than 24 hours for the start of the session.  Any sessions that are cancelled less than 24 hours from your appointment time will incur a $50 rescheduling fee.

When will I receive my photos and/or videos?

You will receive your photos within 24 hours from the end of the session. Virtual tours, virtual staging, and videos take 48 hours to process. If you have ordered virtual staging or digital twilight, it will take an additional 12 hours to edit.

How will I receive my photos?

Once your photos have been edited, you will receive an email from me with a link to your own personal, password protected gallery.  You will be able to download all of the photos in the gallery directly to your computer.  Photos will be delivered in jpeg format.

Who owns the photographs?

Anne Whitty Real Estate Photography owns the copyright to all photos and videos produced by me.  As my client, you are free to use the photographs on the MLS and for other marketing materials until the property closes or for one year (whichever comes first).  Only the original client is licensed to use the images, and that license is non-transferable.  Any photos produced by me may not be used by another party without my written consent.  If a stager, contractor, landscape architect or anyone else asks you for the images, please refer them to me.  Agents that list the house in the future may not use the photos without paying a licensing fee to Anne Whitty Real Estate Photography.

Do you travel for real estate photography?

Yes I do.  I would be happy to travel outside Anne Arundel County, however there will be a $45 travel fee for any properties that are more than 30 miles from Arnold, MD.
