6506 Foster St., District Heights, MD Real Estate Photography

Last fall, I photographed a charming home in District Heights. With 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, and 2,672 square feet, this house wears its “small but mighty” badge proudly. It looks modest from the outside, but once you step inside, the space opens up into something bright and inviting.

The front door greets you into a living room framed by warm hardwood floors and a cozy fireplace—an ideal spot for lingering with friends or curling up with a good book. Beyond lies a galley kitchen that gleams with white quartz countertops, brand-new white cabinetry, and top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances. Storage is plentiful, making the kitchen as functional as it is beautiful.

The four-season sunroom is the home’s standout. Floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the room in natural light, while white tile floors provide a sleek, versatile backdrop for area rugs and furnishings. It’s a serene retreat to observe nature, even when the weather outside isn’t cooperating.

Upstairs, the primary bedroom is a calm sanctuary: plush new carpeting and ample natural light create a sense of serenity that lingers long after you wake. The basement is another highlight, with a built-in wet bar tucked under the staircase and a spacious, flexible layout—perfect for an entertainment zone, a home office, or a gym. The possibilities feel endless.

Outside, the large wooden deck is the ideal place to be for warm-weather gatherings. There is plenty of room for a barbecue, outdoor dining, and gathering with friends and family.
