4972 Preston Rd., Federalsburg, MD Real Estate Photography Session

Last spring, I had the pleasure of photographing a charming single-family home in Federalsburg, and it didn’t take long to see why this property stood out. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,508 square feet of thoughtfully renovated living space, this home offers a wonderful blend of comfort, style, and functionality.

The appeal begins the moment you step through the front door. Warm hardwood floors immediately draw your eye and set the tone as you enter the living room. From there, the openness of the main level is instantly apparent—you can see straight through to the beautifully updated kitchen, creating a seamless visual connection that makes the space feel both open and inviting. This layout allows natural light to flow effortlessly throughout the first floor, enhancing the home’s welcoming atmosphere.

Just beyond the living room, the dining area features a lovely picture window that brings the outdoors in. A hip-height wall subtly defines the space while maintaining an open sightline, striking the perfect balance between separation and flow. Continuing into the kitchen—truly the star of the home—you’re greeted by quartz countertops, crisp white cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances that give the space a clean, modern look. A large island anchors the room, providing ample space for food prep while also doubling as a breakfast bar, ideal for casual meals or entertaining. Open to the adjacent family room, the kitchen effortlessly supports busy family life and gatherings alike.

Off the family room is a newly updated full bathroom that feels both fresh and stylish. The shower features brand-new tile with an inlaid subway tile shelf that adds a subtle pop of color and visual interest. A modern vanity with a white countertop, gray cabinetry, and brushed black steel fixtures ties the space together beautifully, while dual lamps add warmth and a cozy, contemporary touch. Also accessible from the family room is the staircase leading to the upstairs bedrooms.

Upstairs, the primary suite is the clear highlight. With two generous closets and a charming window nook that doubles as extra storage, the space is as practical as it is inviting. High ceilings and abundant natural light create an open, airy feel—an ideal retreat at the end of the day.
