4607 Kemper St., Rockville, MD Real Estate Photography Session
Last spring, I had the pleasure of photographing this beautifully renovated rancher in Rockville, Maryland—and it was a truly fun and inspiring session. The home offers 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 1,526 square feet of thoughtfully designed living space. Updated from top to bottom, it blends timeless charm with modern luxury.
From the outside, the home gives off classic, historic vibes with its brick exterior, while inside, details like wainscoting and shiplap add warmth and character throughout. Stepping through the front door, you’re immediately welcomed by an open floor plan that seamlessly connects the living room, dining area, and kitchen—perfect for both everyday living and entertaining.
The living room is bright and inviting, anchored by a large picture window that fills the space with natural light. Architectural touches, including a striking shiplap accent wall, add texture and visual interest. Fresh paint throughout gives the room a clean, modern feel, complemented by tasteful pops of color.
The kitchen is truly a showstopper. Quartz countertops, brand-new stainless steel appliances, and a beautifully coordinated color palette make this space both functional and stunning. Light blue lower cabinets pair effortlessly with white upper cabinetry, while a gray-and-white backsplash ties everything together. Sleek black brushed steel fixtures with gold accents add a modern edge. A central island serves as both prep space and a breakfast counter, and the black-and-gold pendant lights overhead complete the look.
The main level bathroom is another standout. A neutral gray vanity topped with quartz countertops is accented by elegant gold fixtures. The tub-and-shower combination features matching gold details and a marble backsplash, adding a touch of understated luxury.
The basement offers an incredible bonus space and can function as a separate apartment. It includes a compact yet efficient kitchen with plenty of storage and room for expansion. Black brushed steel fixtures echo the design choices upstairs, creating a cohesive look throughout the home. A breakfast bar adds flexibility and functionality.
The basement living area is warm and inviting, centered around a large gas fireplace—the perfect spot to curl up with a good book or enjoy a cozy conversation. The basement bathroom continues the home’s modern aesthetic, featuring a hunter green vanity (my personal favorite!), a sleek white countertop, and gold fixtures. The stand-up shower includes a rain shower head, with a statement backsplash that creates a waterfall effect, contrasted by classic subway tile for a clean, contemporary finish.
Photographing this home was an absolute pleasure. Every space was thoughtfully designed, and no detail was overlooked. Architecturally beautiful from top to bottom, it was a joy to capture. Be sure to check out some of my favorite images from the session below.
